{"id":390,"date":"2021-01-22T16:44:55","date_gmt":"2021-01-22T22:44:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lakejacksonent.fm1.dev\/resources\/telehealth\/"},"modified":"2022-03-31T17:03:02","modified_gmt":"2022-03-31T22:03:02","slug":"telehealth","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/lakejacksonent.com\/telehealth\/","title":{"rendered":"Telehealth"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Now Offering Virtual Telehealth Appointments<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Lake Jackson ENT &#038; Med Spa is excited to provide our patients with convenient, at home care through our new Telehealth services.\u00a0<strong>You can now meet with your provider while staying in the comfort and safety of your home.<\/strong>\u00a0Please note that these visits are billable; deductibles, copays and coinsurance may still apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following appointment types\/complaints are appropriate for telehealth services:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Tubes and Tonsillectomy consultations<\/li><li>CPAP\/Sleep Apnea<\/li><li>Test results: pathology, labs, radiology (CT and MRI)<\/li><li>Thyroid evaluations, Rx refills and annual check-ups (pending recent test results)<\/li><li>Post Sinus Surgery (not needing debridement)<\/li><li>Post Op Tubes and\/or Tonsillectomy<\/li><li>Post Op excisions (not needing suture removal)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Benefits of Telehealth Appointments<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Minimize risk of exposure by visiting your doctor virtually<\/li><li>Gain peace of mind with the opportunity to express concerns about your symptoms<\/li><li>Receive medical advice from your provider from the comfort of your home<\/li><li>Get notified when your provider is available \u2013 no extended wait times<\/li><li>Have prescriptions ordered or renewed without an in-person visit<\/li><li>Use your iPhone (iOS 12 and above) or Android device (v. 7.0 and above) to virtually \u201cattend\u201d your appointment<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Optimize Your Visit<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>If you have provided an email address, you will be sent an invitation to our Patient Portal when you schedule your appointment. Be sure to log in and complete everything under &#8220;My Health.&#8221;<\/li><li>Be sure to call the office immediately if you are having issues with the Telehealth technology.<\/li><li>During your appointment, make sure you are in a quiet, well-lit place.<\/li><li>Do&nbsp;<strong>NOT<\/strong>&nbsp;answer any other phone calls or text messages during your appointment.<\/li><li>Please treat this just as you would an \u201cin-person\u201d visit.<\/li><li>Your provider will be logged in and wait no more than 10 minutes for you to connect.&nbsp;<strong>If you fail to connect, you will be considered a no-show to your appointment and the office policy of charging $35 will apply.<\/strong><\/li><li>Please understand that Telehealth is a constantly evolving service and by offering our patients these services, we do not guarantee that your insurance will cover these services.
